Why Exact Age Matters More Than You Think

Health insurance premiums are calculated based on your exact age at the time of application — sometimes even a few days makes a difference in which age bracket you fall into. School admissions in India have strict age cutoffs — a child must be exactly 6 years old by a specific date to be admitted to Class 1. Passport and visa applications often require your age on a specific future date.

The Leap Year Problem

This is where manual age calculation gets genuinely complicated. Leap years add an extra day in February every 4 years. If you were born on February 29, you technically only have a birthday every 4 years. Our calculator handles all these edge cases automatically.
