The order of pages in the final PDF matters. Our merger lets you reorder files by dragging before merging — the file at the top becomes the first section, followed by subsequent files in order. File Size Considerations

Merged PDFs are typically the sum of the component files in size — sometimes slightly smaller due to deduplication of shared resources. If the resulting file is too large to share, use our PDF Compressor after merging to reduce the combined file size. Large image-heavy PDFs compress well; text-only PDFs have minimal compression potential.

Privacy and Security

All merging happens locally in your browser using PDF-lib — a JavaScript library that runs entirely on your device. Your PDF files never get uploaded to any server. This is especially important because merged documents often contain sensitive combinations of information — financial records with supporting documents, personal identification with application forms, confidential business materials.
